Buhari to commission calabar rail
President Buhari will commission the
launch of the Calabar Monorail
Cross Rivers governor Ben Ayade made
the announcement earlier today
The governor made infrastructure one
of his main policy pledges during his
election campaign
Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River state
has announced that the Calabar Monorail
is set to be commissioned by President
Muhammadu Buhari.
Ayade, who made the announcement after
a second test ride on the monorail
in
Calabar, said the commissioning of the
project will serve to mark this first year of
his service as governor.
According to him, taking another ride in
the monorail was his own way of
checking to ensure the project is ready
for commissioning before the president
arrives in Cross Rivers state.

The governor stressed that the kick-off of
the monorail would boost the state’s
economy and would also open
employment opportunities to the
unemployed in the state.
