AAUA pro-chancellor sues for steady co-operation between Varsity,community

The Pro-Chancellor and
Chairman of the Governing
Council of Adekunle Ajasin
University, Akungba Akoko,
Ondo State, Nigeria, Otunba
(Dr.) Solomon Oladunni, has
stressed the need for the
Institution and its host
community to further fortify
the relationship between
them in order to make
accelerated progress.
Otunba Oladunni said this on
Monday last week when he
led the Management of the
University on a courtesy call
on the Regent of Akungba
Akoko, Princess Oluwatoyin
Omosowon.
The Pro-Chancellor, who
thanked the Monarch, Chiefs
and people of the town for
the support the University has
enjoyed over the years, said,
“We have every reason to
associate with this
community. Both the
University and the community
continue to strive to solidify
the existing relationship
between them.
“The community must
continue to cooperate with
the Management of the
University so that Akungba
Akoko and AAUA will make
tremendous progress.”
While advising the students of
the University to maintain
peaceful co-existence with
the people of Akungba Akoko,
Otunba Oladunni urged the
latter to always pray for the
former.
The spokesperson of the
community, Chief Oladele
Olowogorioye, thanked the
University Management for
reducing the reparation fee
recently charged the students
from N25, 000 to N15,000.
He, however, made some
demands bordering on the
interest and welfare of
members of the community
viz-a-viz the Institution.
Responding, the Chairman of
Council said he would liaise
with the University
Management to work out how
some of the requests could be
granted.
In her remark, Princess
Omosowon thanked the Pro-
