Everyone is trying to stay relevant and those who are not getting their way are not finding it funny. Some feel they have been relegated to the background. The struggle for who controls what, who should be obeyed, who gets to choose what happens in the party, is threatening to tear the ruling party apart. From the look of things the stage is set for a titanic battle if nothing is done quickly. Below are some APC chieftains who are at war with each other.

After the primaries, Tinubu called on the party’s national chairman to resign alleging that he subverted the will of the people. In response, Odigie-Oyegun described the allegations against him as baseless and reckless. On October 4
, he took his grievance to President Buhari. According to him, there was no rift between them but a difference of opinion. “There is no rift with Asiwaju. We have difference of opinions, difference of perception and I think that is normal. Yes, I agree that the nature of the (Tinubu’s) statement was a bit harsh,” he said
. 3. Atiku-El-Rufai feud Share on Facebook Share on Twitter
When we thought we have had it all, former vice president Atiku Abubakar and Governor Nasir El-Rufai decided to give Nigerians something to talk about. In a recent interview, Atiku claimed that he was betrayed by El-Rufai. This was in response to a question on a El-Rufai’s book, “Accidental Public Servant” which portrays him as a very corrupt person.
“Did he give any evidence or prove where I was corrupt? Again this is the same el-Rufai whom I was instrumental in bringing into government and making him Director General of the Bureau of Public Enterprises, BPE, and eventually a minister.
You also forgot that it was the same el-Rufai and Nuhu that my boss used in cooking up the indictment that was eventually thrown out. So, where is the evidence of corruption?” he queried. In a swift reaction, the Kaduna state governor described Atiku as a liar who was “haunted by his corruption demons.

5. Senator Sani and El-Rufai Share on Facebook Share on Twitter
There seems to be no love lost between Governor El-Rufai and Senator Shehu Sani.
Both men are from the same state and belong to the same party but they are always at logger heads. Sani has been very outspoken, criticizing some of Governor El-Rufai’s policies which he considers anti-masses. When El-Rufai said ‘the PDP has destroyed Nigeria for 16 years’, Sani quickly tackled him, saying he had no moral justification to point accusing fingers. According to him, the Kaduna governor was part of Nigeria’s problems because he benefited from the party for 14 years out of the 16 years of the party’s reign and so he could not claim to be innocent. In December 2015, the senator was suspended for 11 months and also banned from engaging in party activities in the state during this period. His offence was that he was engaging in anti-party activities by criticizing the policies of Governor Nasir El-Rufai. His suspension was later described as invalid, null and void and not binding by the national body of the APC.
